CATHERINE'S PALACE in Tzar's Village
Dear visitors of Saint-Petersburg,
I recommend you to have a tour of the splendid Catherine's Palace and the Park in the Tzar's Village. The Tzar's Village is one of the most famous suburbs of St. Petersburg. Its gardens and parks were laid out by the best landscapers and gardeners. Its palaces and pavilions were built by the most talented architects and decorated by the best Russian and foreign sculptors, painters and craftsmen. Unique collections of art were gathered in the Catherine palace. The majestic building extending over more than 300 meters became the compositional center of the whole palace and park complex. The town was renamed in 1937 after Alexander Pushkin.
During our tour we will visit the Summer Royal Residence, showing us how luxuriously Russian Royalty lived in that times. We'll see the gorgeous Amber room which strikes everyone with its beauty and uniqueness. It was stolen during the Second World War and was never found. All the Amber room was exactly recreated and now impresses everyone again. After visiting the Catherine's Palace we will walk in the marvelous Park feeling the spirit of the 18th century.
