Around Nevsky Prospect
This itinerary is an approximately 2 kilometer walking tour around the center of the city focused on Nevsky Prospect, the main street of St. Petersburg.
We'll start at Griboedov Canal and meander around Nevsky Prospect, taking in, among other sights, the prominent Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood; Kazan Cathedral; the Winter Palace; the lesser-known but worthwhile Petrischule, the Church of St. Katarina; and other treasures hidden just around the corners from the main thoroughfare of Nevsky Prospect.
We’ll both plunge into the hustle and bustle of busy Nevsky Prospect and enjoy the tranquility of lesser-traveled side streets and hidden courtyards.
Great for an introduction to St. Petersburg, this walk covers some basic “must-see” locations and is led by an Art Historian who will add depth and context to the tour.
This walking tour doesn't imply entrance to the interiors of the buildings.
