The story of Grebeshok (Сomb) Нill - ethnical Yarila Нill
Dear friends! For you, I have prepared an unusual author’s tour of the undeservedly forgotten but no less interesting hill of Nizhny Novgorod — Mount Grebeshok (Comb), which locals call ... an extinct volcano!
We will go through little-known and abandoned places: Pohvalinski Decent — Bashkirov Mansion — Romodanovsky Station — Flour Mill — Сhernigovskaya street — Annunciation Monastery. These streets and slopes have not lost their beauty and retained the local flavor of the ancient merchant city.
The route is amazing with a variety of sightseeing objects — from Orthodox churches to stunning modern graffiti, a vertical drop of up to 70m and an unexpected angle of views that open onto the opposite bank of the Oka River.
You will plunge into the pagan past of our ancestors and trace the entire history of this wonderful place — from the pagan temple to the Orthodox monastery, flour mill and old railway station. We will look at the project for the reconstruction of the plant and street and will discuss the future of this wonderful corner of our city.
