The main character of our mini-vacation is the largest and most picturesque island of the archipelago, Büyükada. Prepare to enter an idyllic world of fragrant flowers, dense trees, old wooden mansions, friendly cats and smiling grandparents. Here you'll find both beaches and rocky bluffs with wonderful panoramic views of the sea. And there's no combustion engine transport, so everyone gets around on foot, electric cars, or bicycles.
The ferry ticket to and from the islands is extra (32 liras per one-way ticket)
We will visit the Church of St. George, see the half-insane Greek Asylum and the residence of Leo Trotsky, walk past numerous mansions along the cozy streets of the island. We will find ourselves on the highest point of Buyukada - and capture it all on the photo. You will also hear the most interesting facts about the Princes' Islands: who and when inhabited them, who lives there now, what is the way of life of the locals and what future the government predicts for the islands.
