individual
excursion
Irkutsk
We start from the historical center of Irkutsk, you will learn about the development of Siberia, look at the monuments of Siberian architecture of the 18-19th centuries. Next, we take cool photos next to the beautifully carved window frames of wooden houses. The wooden houses will help you to get acquainted with Slavic mythology.
Taltsy Museum
Our next stop is the Taltsy Museum of Architecture and Ethnography, where you can literally touch the history. This place with a unique atmosphere and the most pleasant smell of a birch grove and wooden buildings is located halfway from Irkutsk to Lake Baikal. We walk at a comfortable pace, watch everything we like, and learn a lot about the life of local indigenous peoples and Russian Siberians.
Baikal
We are moving to Baikal, to Listvyanka village, where we will finally see the lake and replenish our knowledge about it either in the Baikal Museum - a place with a rich exposition on the history and geography of Baikal (here you can also see the famous Baikal seal in one of the aquariums), or under the open sky in a place with a beautiful view of the lake - if you want to spend more time on its shore. We`ll climb up higher for beautiful shots, see the source of the Angara and the legendary Shaman-stone and then go down straight to the water's edge to enjoy a walk along the shore, and also we will be able to visit the local fish market and buy delicious souvenirs.
