Livadia, Beloved by Emperor
Livadia is favorite vacation spot of the last Russian emperor. The Romanovs were adoring Crimea and were it's frequent guests. Livadia brought worldwide fame because in February of 1945 conference of allied countries was held here. The fate of the postwar world was signed here, and establishment of the United Nations started here as well.
Located close to Livadia, Oreanda is another imperator's estate. Unfortunately nothing left from this majestic palace. But the true ornament of this corner of the coast is a temple of the Holy Virgin. Its main decoration — mosaic icons of extraordinary beauty, which cover the walls of the temple. Here you will find special atmosphere and special appeal. The main characters of Chekhov's "The Lady with the Dog" were contributing here.
