Kinchkha Waterfall - Dadiani Palace - churchkhela factory
Kinchkha waterfall. This place is interesting for the cascade of waterfalls that are named after their location. The upper waterfall, which is about 100 meters high, is located at an altitude of 1000-1110 meters above sea level and flows into the Okatse River. A little further downstream there is a more powerful and beautiful, but less high (60 meters) waterfall. The river itself flows through a gorge of white limestone. In addition, this place is also remarkable for its old baths. The reservoirs that arise in the Upper Canyon were used by the princes as baths. This is evidenced by special buildings made of white stone. They are located 100-150 meters above the waterfall. On a hot day, it is a pleasure to plunge into a clear, but rather cool water.
The summer residence of the Dadiani princes is a luxurious and very original building, which combines both national and imperial motifs in an interesting way — we recall that the building was built in the middle of the 19th century, by that time (namely from 1801) Georgia had already been within the Russian Empire. Today, the museum's treasury contains more than 40,000 exhibits, most of which are unique or represent rare examples of national culture.
Shroud of the Mother of God, which is kept in the Dadiani Palace and is exhibited only on common church holidays.
