The All-Russian Exhibition Center (VVTs)
The VVTs is still much better known by its Soviet-era name, VDNKh — the Exhibition of National Economic Achievements. In the USSR the popularity of the Exhibition among the agricultural workers was exceedingly high. The right to take part in it was contested by millions of collective farmers and sovkhoz workers, thousands of agronomists, zoo-technicians and machine-operators. The first one was held in 1939 as the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition.
The center still works and includes:
— a luna-park
— Cosmonautics musuem
— a rocket (!)
VDNKh is the place where I've spent my childhood and I strongly recommend you to come here with a group or alone. Its definetely one of 'must visit' places in Moscow. Let's travel together to fun Soviet past!
